This Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our faith or our full beliefs. The Holy Bible itself is the sole and final source of all that we believe.
We believe that God created the universe and all that is in it (Genesis 1:2, Exodus 20:11).
We believe that is one true God, eternally existent in the three person: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:26, Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19, Luke 1:35, 2 Corinthians 13:14).
We believe the Holy Bible is the authoritative Word of God. It the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths, inspired, infallible, and inerrant in its original writing (Proverbs 30:5, 2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21).
We believe Jesus Christ is God the Son, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in Him dying on the cross for mankind to atone for our sins through the shedding of His blood, in His resurrection three days after death, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and He will return again (Isaiah 9:6, John 1:1-14, 1 Timothy 2:5; 3:16, Acts 1:9-11).
We believe that salvation is a gift from God. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, apart from works. Repentance from sin and personal faith in Christ are essential for the gift of salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9, Galatians 2:16; 3:8, Titus 3:5, Romans 10:9-10).
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (John 17:21, 1 Corinthians 12:12-13).
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the followers of Christ is enabled to live a holy life. We are called to live holy and fruitful lives, reflecting Christ in character, conduct, integrity, and service. Baptism of the Holy Spirit is given to those who ask for it (Romans 8:9; 12:1-2, Galatians 5:22-25, Joel 2:28, Acts 2:4).
We believe in the blessed hope: the personal, visible, and glorious return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead, and the final judgement of the just and the unjust ( John 5:28-29, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, Revelation 20:11-15).
We believe in speaking with other tongues as the Holy Spirit gives utterance and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit, as well as the spiritual gift of interpretation of tongues, which, when used in conjunction with a public message in tongues, is for the edification of the Church (Acts 2:4; 10:44-46; 19:6, Mark 16:17, 1 Corinthians 12:10; 14:13, 27-28).
Water Baptism: Following faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the new convert is commanded by the Word of God to be baptized in the water in the Name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit ( Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38; 8:12, 36-38; 10:47-48, Mark 16:16).
The Lord's Supper: A time of communion in the presence of God when the elements of the bread and grape juice ( The Body and Blood of Jesus Christ) are taken in remembrance of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross (Matthew 26:26-29, 1 Corinthians 10:16, 11:23-25).
The Church: Local and global community of believers who acknowledge Jesus as their Savior. The Church is not a location or weekly event. The Church is the body of Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and made up of born-again believers who carry the missions of spreading the Gospel to the whole world. Locally, our church gathers every week on Sundays and in small groups during the week to worship, pray and grow through Bible studies and to strengthen and support each other ( Matthew 16:13-18, Acts 2:42-47, Ephesians 1:22; 2:19-22, Hebrews 12:23, John 17:11; 20-23).
Atmosphere: Casual, friendly, and Spirit-filled.
Music: Contemporary worship and heartfelt praise.
Teaching: Bible-based messages applicable to your daily life.
At SeeKing Ministries our mission is simple: To see the Kingdom of God established in our hearts and our community. We believe in the power of prayer, the truth of the Bible, and the importance of family.
